Local Data Storage (Local-First Policy)

Loomind is designed with a Local-First architecture to maximize privacy and user control.

• Your data stays on your device: Documents, notes, vector indexes, and chat history are stored locally on your computer.
• No cloud storage of files: We do not upload, synchronize, or store your documents or local knowledge bases on our servers.
• User ownership: You retain full ownership and control over your data at all times.

Information We Collect

We collect only limited information that is necessary to operate and improve the service.

• Personal Data: Information such as your email address, which you voluntarily provide when creating an account or subscribing to the service.
• Usage and Technical Data: Technical information limited to your IP address and basic interaction logs (strictly excluding the content of your documents and chats).

How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used to operate, maintain, and improve Loomind. Specifically, we may use it to:

• Create and manage user accounts.
• Provide application functionality, updates, and support.
• Send service-related or technical communications.
• Monitor system stability, performance, and security.
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.

Payments and Subscriptions

If paid features or subscriptions are offered, payments are processed by third-party payment providers.

• Payment processing: All payments are handled by external providers in accordance with their own privacy policies.
• No card storage: We do not process or store any payment card details on our servers at all.

Third-Party Services and AI

Loomind uses commercial, enterprise-grade APIs to provide intelligent features. The processing server acting as a secure pass-through is located in Germany (EU).

• Data minimization: Only the specific text required to fulfill a request is transmitted. Personal identifiers such as names or email addresses are not shared with AI providers.
• Zero Data Training: Because we use paid, commercial APIs, your data is NOT used to train any public or private AI models. The providers strictly delete the processing data after a short retention period.

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Your GDPR Rights (Data Access and Deletion)

Because Loomind is a Local-First application, we do not have access to your documents, vector indexes, or chat history. You have full control to access, export, or delete this local data directly on your device. We cannot delete it for you because we do not possess it.

However, for the limited Account Data we do hold on our German servers (e.g., your email address for subscription purposes and basic connection logs), you have the right under GDPR to request access, correction, export, or deletion. To delete your Loomind account and remove your email from our system, please contact us.

Policy for Children

Loomind is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
